Helping Hands Uganda

Eunice is 6 years old. She attended Primary 1 for only two terms last year, before being forced to leave because her single mother could not afford the school fees. Her mother abandoned Eunice and her 5 sisters and 2 brothers in the care of her grandparents. Her father's whereabouts are unknown. She lives in Nabyunyu Village. The grand father is very old and weak and is not able to provide for the family. The mother owns ½ an acre of land, but without money they have not been able to build on or use the land.

We would love to get Eunice back in school with the supplies she needs to have the best chance at a brighter life.

Cecilia is 6 years old and lives with her parents and twelve siblings in a small remote village. She is a Musoga by Tribe.

When we met her, Cecilia like many of her siblings was sickly, mostly due to poor feeding and lack of proper medical attention.

Sponsorship helps the whole family: Cecilia's family got lucky with the goats that were provided to them. They have bred a number of times and the family now has about eight of them, enough to exchange for a cow. This will provide milk for Cecilia's malnourished siblings.
