Dedication
In loving memory of Mary Joan Wanyama RIP (1946 - Nov 1997)
and Lawrence Pierre Wanyama RIP (1945 - Feb 2000)
Mum and Dad...so many images come to mind whenever we mention your names; without you things have never been the same.
If tears could build a stairway and memories were a lane, we would walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. Our hearts still ache in sadness and tears still flow like it was yesterday when you departed from us. What it meant to lose you, no one will ever know.
Please always know we love you and no one can take your place; Years may come and go but your memory will never be erased.
What happened to those lazy days when we were just children? When our lives were consumed in you, in your love, and in your protection?
What happened to all those times when we always looked to you; No matter what happened in our lives you could make our gray skies blue.
Who will we turn to for answers when life does not make sense? Who will be there to hold us close when the pieces just don't fit?
Oh, if we could turn back time and once more hear your voices; we would tell you that if asked to choose out of all the parents in this world, you would still be our choice.
We know how much you loved us, as much as we loved you. And each time you think of us, know we miss you.
It was a fairly big family, but you always made each of us feel special. All the people you helped still cry over your names. They make it seem like they lost you much more than we did. Of course that can't be true, but they make it sound that way.
They remind us of those meals you cooked and fed them every so often, and of how you opened your doors to those in need. Up until today they make us feel like you are away on a trip and will come back.
You taught us many things in life; lessons that we've held close to our hearts. With those lessons, we've gone many places, met many people, and done many things. But of all the things we've done, and of all the things that we are most proud of, is the fact that we are your children.
We were so privileged while you raised us and we always felt that we owed you so much. Unfortunately you both left us before we ever gave you back a bit of what you gave us.
Left behind, the children's tears, loving memories of the years of joy and love, a life well spent and much more.
To God we say would you please go and find our parents and give them all our love.
A dedication in your loving memory dear parents.
