Helping Hands Uganda is a Toronto-based charity that empowers and improves the welfare of children living in dire poverty in Eastern Uganda.

Helping Hands Uganda provides sponsorships that pay for school expenses (fees, books, uniform and shoes), medical expenses and food for children, plus an income-generating project for the child’s family.

The Canadian operations of this charity are staffed entirely by volunteers, to ensure that at least 90% of funds received go directly towards sponsorship.

Sponsor A Child!

Sponsorship of $25/month covers

• School expenses for one child. This includes school fees, a uniform and shoes, and school supplies.
• Medical expenses for one child. Treatment for malaria, snake bite, HIV, malnutrition or any of the many illnesses that affect children in Uganda. A local doctor is identified that the child can go to for treatment when needed.
• Food for the child in times of price inflation. Bags of corn flour and beans supplement the child`s nutrition.
• An income generating project for the family. Families receive a pair of livestock to breed.
